The WiFi Guys

The Fifth Bar

Anyone can get you four bars.

The fifth is the one you only notice when it is missing. Someone watching the network at two in the morning. A fault fixed before you report it. A person who answers, instead of a call centre that asks you to restart the router.

That is the part nobody sells you, and it is the whole reason we exist.

Ninety seconds for a system design. No price promised, and none invented.

You call us, not your internet provider

When the WiFi stops working, the usual path is a call to your internet provider, a queue, a script, and an engineer booked for some time next week. Your provider's job finishes at the box on your wall. Everything after it — the walls, the floors, the garden, the dead spot in the back bedroom — is not their problem.

We took that on instead. You message us directly, on WhatsApp, and we deal with it.

Free for life

A human, 9am–6pm

Monday to Friday, one of our engineers picks it up. Not a ticket number, not a chatbot handing you to a queue.

Free for life

AI support, after hours

Evenings and weekends, our assistant can diagnose the common faults and carry out the usual fixes on your network straight away.

Paid plan

24/7 and preventive

Round-the-clock cover with scheduled preventive maintenance, for homes and offices where the network going down is not an inconvenience but a problem.

The first two columns are included with every system we install, for as long as you have it.

Live from our dashboard

732 networks across the UAE, on our screens right now

Each point is a managed network — a gateway with its access points reporting underneath it. These figures are read from our own controller as this page loads, not typed into a brochure.

Counts are live from our controller. Points are distributed across the areas we cover — they are networks, not customer addresses, and no customer is identified here.

  1. The estate

732 networks, from Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah

Mostly UniFi Dream Router gateways (402 of them), with UniFi Dream Machine and UniFi Dream Router Ultra on the larger sites.

  2. Every site

A gateway, and its access points

4,475 access points across 732 networks — a typical site runs 5, the largest runs 40. Each one checks in continuously.

  3. When one stops

We see it before you do

A unit stops answering and it lights up on our board — which is how the estate holds 99.1% average uptime. Most of what goes wrong is fixed remotely, without an appointment.

What you get

The same screen we're looking at

Every customer gets a portal showing their own network exactly as we see it on our side — not a summary emailed once a month. Your invoices, visits and documents live in the same place.

See your own network

Every access point, every connected device, live — not a monthly PDF.

Keep your paperwork

Invoices, quotes, warranty documents and past visits, all in one place.

Book without phoning

Change things yourself

Rename a WiFi network, change the password, block a device.

On your phone

The same network in your pocket

Your network, your visits and your bills in one app. Restart an access point from the sofa — and when an engineer is on the way, follow him in on a map instead of waiting in all morning for a four-hour window.

A design before a price

Most quotes for a home network are a number with no working shown. Ours starts the other way round: answer a few questions about your home and you get the actual design — how many access points, where they go, what switch, whether cable has to be run, and why each one is there.

No price is quoted and none is implied, because the survey is what makes a price honest. But you will know what you are being sold before anyone asks you for anything.

What you get back

  • The number of access points, worked out room by room
  • Where each one should sit, and what it is covering
  • The switch and gateway the design needs
  • Whether your walls already have network points
  • A copy in your inbox to think about

Four-bedroom villa over two floors, poured concrete between them. The builder’s router sits in the under-stair cupboard and does not reach the first floor at all. There are no network points in the walls, so we would run Cat6 to each access point position.

Equipment goes under the stairs — shelf at head height, power socket to be added.

What the survey produces

You get the survey in writing

Most surveys end with someone saying “you’ll need about six” and emailing you a price a week later. Ours ends with a document. The technician records every room while standing in it — what it needs, where the equipment goes, what is already in the walls — and photographs each position as they go.

You keep it. If you get another quote, you can hand this to whoever you ask, and they will know exactly what the job is. That is deliberate: a survey you cannot take away is a sales call.

  • Every room, and what it needs

Listed one by one, not a single total.

  • A diagram of how it connects

Gateway, switch and every access point.

  • Photos of each position

Taken on site, so nothing is from memory.

  • A PDF you can keep

    Emailed, and downloadable any time.

When we do quote, the report travels with the proposal — so every line on the price says which room it is for.

One team for the whole house

The WiFi, the cameras, the cabling in the walls, the rack in the cupboard, the smart home that is supposed to tie it together. One company that installed all of it is one company to call when any of it misbehaves.

Who you would be dealing with

We have been doing this in the UAE since 2015 — long enough to have met most of the ways a villa can defeat a router.

Since 2015

Eleven years of UAE homes and offices, and the awkward villas nobody else wanted.

Common questions

The things people ask us most often, answered plainly.

Is the WiFi survey free?
The survey is AED 420, credited in full against your installation if you go ahead. An engineer comes to the property, checks the wall construction, maps the coverage and confirms the design before any work is quoted.
What support is included, and what costs extra?
Two things are included for life with every system we install: a human engineer Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and an AI assistant outside those hours that can diagnose and fix the common faults on the spot. Round-the-clock 24/7 cover with scheduled preventive maintenance is a paid plan.
Do you cover Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, or only Dubai?
All three. We work across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, and most of the networks we manage are in Dubai simply because that is where most of our customers are.
What is the difference between a WiFi installation and a managed network?
An installation ends when the engineer leaves. A managed network keeps reporting to us afterwards, so we are usually told a site has dropped before the customer notices, and most faults are fixed remotely without an appointment. You also get a portal and an iPhone app showing your own network exactly as we see it.
Do I have to replace my existing WiFi to be monitored?
No. If you already run a TP-Link Deco or Linksys Velop mesh, Pulse is a small box that sits beside it and reports in every minute, so we can watch the network without replacing it. Replacing the hardware is only worth it when the WiFi itself is the problem.
How much does a home WiFi system cost?
We do not publish fixed prices, because the honest answer depends on the size of the property, how many access points it needs and whether cable has to be run. Plan My WiFi will tell you the design in about ninety seconds for free; the survey confirms it and the quote follows.

Start with the design

Ninety seconds of questions and you will know what your home actually needs. If it looks right, book the survey and we will confirm it on site.

There is a survey fee, and it comes off your installation if you go ahead. · Questions on WhatsApp
